- producer: Anne Pichon
- region: Rhône Valley
- country: FRA
- grape variety: roussanne, sauvignon blanc
- production notes: certified organic, woman winemaker/owner
In the 1990s, winemaker Anne and her husband bought a 60-hectare estate, Domaine le Murmurium, in the Côte de Ventoux village of Mormoiron. The estate had 15 hectares of organically farmed, unpruned and underdeveloped grape vines that the Pichon’s wanted to bring back to life. Using organic and biodynamic farming techniques, the Pichon’s started managing the neglected rows of native Rhône grape varieties, which she now crafts her wines from. The Pichon’s work in very small quantities and want to keep their wines wild-feeling and close to the land.
From the importer: Velvety tannins, minerality and elegant aromatics with notes of grapefruit, orange zest, peach, green almond, as well as exotic fruit and white flowers.
