- country: FRA
- grape variety: pinot noir
Jean-Baptiste Boudier grew up in Burgundy in a winemaking family. He fell in love with wine at an early age and earned his degree in viticulture and enology at the Lycée Viticole in Beaune. After apprenticing all over the world, he came back to his parent’s vineyards and split off a 3 hectare parcel to start his own estate. Over the years, he doubled his land holdings, which are spread across the villages of Pernand-Vergelesses (where his winery is located), Aloxe-Corton, Savigny Les Beaune, and Ladoix-Serrigny.
The pinot noir for this wine comes from vines planted in 1979. The resulting wine is a refreshing but complex red Burgundy with notes of ripe cherries and raspberries and balancing floral aromas.
