The Malaspina winery was founded in 1967, when Consolato Malaspina decided to devote his life to winemaking and the traditional wines of Calabria. Malaspina is now run by his four daughters, Domenica, Caterina, Irene and Patrizia.
Azienda Vinicola Malaspina is located on the furthest tip of Calabria, the “region of a thousand faces.” Its hills, shades of green in deep winter and yellow in the summer, descend to the sea and all of these influence the vineyards and olive groves of Malaspina, which sit above the sea at an altitude of 700 meters. The family tends only Calabrian grape varieties such as nerello cappuccio, castiglione and calabrese nero.
Light bodied with wisps of smokey minerality, soft black pepper and an herbal spiciness.

In accordance with Pennsylvania liquor law, all of our bottle sales, including the wine club, will be pick-up only from our store inside Lawrenceville Market House.
The sale will not be completed until you pick up your wine and present your valid US drivers’ license or passport. We are limited to 4 bottles (3L) per transaction. If you are interested in ordering more than 6 bottles, send us an email to info@nineoclockwines.com
