Matsuura Shuzo was founded in 1772 in the mountain town of Yamanaka Onsen, known for centuries for its hot spring baths and craftspeople. Matsuura is family owned and is currently under the guidance of 14th generation owner-brewmaster Fumiaki Matsuura. Matsuura Shuzo sake is made in a very small quantities and is primarily only enjoyed locally in Ishikawa and at a select number of restaurants in Tokyo.
Notes of honeydew melon and sweet steamed rice with fine, lil’ bubbles. Excellent with salads, brie cheese and light seafood.

In accordance with Pennsylvania liquor law, all of our bottle sales, including the wine club, will be pick-up only from our store inside Lawrenceville Market House.
