Domaine Guion was established in the 1950s on the banks of the Loire River. By 1965, the family was farming organically, and in 1994 Stéphane Guion took the reins from his father. He is the fourth generation in his family to make wines on this land. The vineyards on the farm range from 10-80 years old and are split into “Cuvée Domaine” for the younger vines and “Cuvée Prestige” for the older vines. Bottles are aged in a cave shared by six local families that served as a hideout for French resistance fighters during World War II.

Notes of red plums, dark cherries with a spicy finish, not unlike cedar smoke. It drinks juicy and full of energy. Excellent with red meats and barbecue. Served lightly chilled.
