Milan Nestarec is an up-and-coming winemaker who is dedicated to making fun, drinkable wines that reflect his home, Moravia. Even at his young age, he has 20 vintages under his belt. His family began making wine after the Velvet revolution in 1989 when his father began working in a vine nursery. Their winery became professional in 2001 and Milan became it’s winemaker at 16 years old. Běl means “white” in old formal Czech and is Nestarec’s nod to the past. It rests on lees for about 8 months until it is bottled in the spring without fining or filtering.
Běl is an easy drinking and joyful field blend of white grapes. Fruity but clean with notes of honeydew, cantaloupe and a zip of lemon zest.
