Francisco Ferreira, nicknamed Pôpa, was the son of a famous Douro wine producer, who was born out of wedlock. His life’s dream was to be acknowledged by his father for his work in wine but was never able to achieve it. His son, José Ferreira started Quinta do Pôpa to fulfill his father’s dream, naming it for his father. José’s friend and famed Portuguese winemaker, Luís Pato helped advise him on winemaking and now many years later, José’s son and daughter are carrying on the family business.
Fresh and light with ripe raspberry and blackberry fruit and a crunchy lean tannin.

In accordance with Pennsylvania liquor law, all of our bottle sales, including the wine club, will be pick-up only from our store inside Lawrenceville Market House.
The sale will not be completed until you pick up your wine and present your valid US drivers’ license or passport. We are limited to 4 bottles (3L) per transaction. If you are interested in ordering more than 6 bottles, send us an email to info@nineoclockwines.com
