  • The San Felo estate is located in southern Tuscany, on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. It was founded by Federico Vanni in 2001 and spans about 30 hectares. As well as the local varieties, sangiovese and vermentino, San Felo also cultivates a number of international vines, including cabernet sauvignon, pinot nero, and viognier.

The San Felo "Lampo" (named for Federico's Italian cowboy grandfather's nick-name) is made from 90% sangiovese and 10% ciliegiolo grapes and is aged for 18 months in oak barriques before bottling. A beautiful ruby-red color in the glass, with complex aromas of raspberries, black cherries and spice on the nose. Excellent with steak, game and mushrooms.
