The Pinot Project is a special initiative from one of our favorite national wine importers, Skurnik Wines. They wanted to work with winemakers in their portfolio to make affordable weeknight wines that punch solidly above their weight. They targeted well-known wine making regions in California, Washington, Italy and France for production. In 2009, they launched with a California pinot noir, going on to make a pinot grigio from Washington State, and one from Italy, and finally a pinot noir rosé from France.
On the nose, a floral and fruity bouquet of raspberries and rose petals. The body has dry, crisp acidity and good structure with notes of white peaches.
