The vineyards of Cardedu (car-DAY-do) are in the area of Ogliastra, the most mountainous and least populous province on the southeast coast of the island. The Loi family is currently on its fourth generation of growing and making wines from the native varieties of vermentino, cannonau, and monica.
We think of this wine as sunshine in a bottle. Bright but complex, this skin-fermented (bucce means “skins”) orange wine is citrus, briny and herbal. Notes of golden raspberries, gooseberries and orange zest carry into a long finish.
