  • Diane and Philippe Cauvin run Château La Colombière in the Fronton AOP of southwest France. After taking over the family domain in 2005, the Cauvins have converted their vineyard management practices to embrace natural winemaking. They work using biodynamic principles and 13 hectares of their vines carry an organic certification. Most of the plantings are of the local négrette grape, but there is also some gamay, malbec, and syrah, as well as a white grape that is technically not yet allowed to appear on a label, called bouysselet.

This wine is deep ruby red with floral and spice aromatics. Soft tannins with notes of blueberry, dark cherry and a hint of black pepper on the finish. Excellent for dishes with sausage or pork chops.
