Château Martinolles was founded in 1898 by Antoine Vergnes. This family-owned estate in Saint-Hilare remained in the Vergnes family until 2011 when Jean-Claude Mas acquired it. The history of both the estate and the area run deep, with the claim that the first sparkling wines were invented by monks at the Saint Hilaire Abbey in 1544. The modern Château Martinolles sits on 80 hectares of vineyards and olive, pine and oak trees.

This sparkling is made with 100% mauzac blanc, a little known grape that is grown primarily in South Western France. The nose is clean with luxurious notes of white peaches, sweet cream and toasted brioche on the palate.
