Jean-Marie Rimbert has been working in Languedoc for the last 25 years. He started managing the vineyards at Château de Flaugergues until he saved enough to buy his first parcels in 1996. Now, Domaine Rimbert is 20 hectares spread amongst 40 diverse parcels each with different soil compositions. He lives and works in Berlou, a small village in the Saint Chinian area that has unique schist coils and steep slopes.
Cousin Oscar is a light, chillable red with layers of berries and a subtle, earthy spice. The label is a combination of designs Jean-Marie put together from 50’s magazines. He named the wine after his girlfriend’s cousin (Oscar) who is apparently irresistible to the ladies.
