We became intrigued by Mary Taylor after seeing her name spattered across the pages of wine portfolios everywhere. It turns out she’s not just all over the books, but all over the world, sourcing wines from a huge variety of countries and regions. Mary Taylor’s main goal is to make wine accessible to the everyday wine drinker and we are really on board with that message. She spent twenty years working in the European wine market and finds the sense of place that wine can offer to be fascinating. Her wines focus on the terroir that each varietal can express. Her simply-styled labels are meant to be a tool for education and to highlight each wine’s origins.

Here is one of the rare whites that sneaks out of Bordeaux. 95% sauvignon blanc and 5% sémillon. The expressions of the grapes are clean and mineral. The wine isn’t oaked and is grown on alluvial and clay soils. We think it's racy and crisp with cantaloupe and lemon zest notes.  Seafood is the way to go for pairings. It would be an excellent oyster wine but could also stand up to heavier dishes, like pan-seared trout.
