Las Jaras was founded by winemaker Joel Burt and famed comedian Eric Wareheim in Sonoma County in the early 2000s. They both gravitated toward more natural and low intervention wines and now work only with certified and practicing organic vineyards in California and Oregon to source their grapes. They released their first vintage in 2015, with the now famous, “Sweet Berry Wine,” a bold but lively red with a portrait of Eric’s comedy partner John C. Reilly on its label.
Yellow pears and peaches with layers of flinty minerality and a hint of spice. This wine spends a year in neutral barrels and 6 months in stainless steel. The winemakers suggest pairing with chicken harissa dishes and tacos.

In accordance with Pennsylvania liquor law, all of our bottle sales, including the wine club, will be pick-up only from our store inside Lawrenceville Market House.
