In 1992, John Buchanan left his job with the second largest winery in New Zealand and founded Mount Riley, now he runs it with his daughter Amy, the operations manager and son-in-law Matt, as the winemaker. As fifth and sixth generation Marlborough citizens, the family hopes to keep the winery and vineyards as a family run business. Mount Riley owns 10 vineyards in Marlborough and each one brings unique qualities and terroir to the Marlborough blend. The oldest vineyard dates back to 1980, with the others planted every few years through the early 2010s.
The wine is a tropical and classic take on New Zealand sauvignon blanc. Aromas and flavors of pineapple and starfruit are bolstered by herbaceous notes of thai basil and white flowers.

In accordance with Pennsylvania liquor law, all of our bottle sales, including the wine club, will be pick-up only from our store inside Lawrenceville Market House.
