Graziano Prà comes from a Soave grape-growing family. Before he founded Prà, most of the grape-growing had been to sell to larger, commercial houses. Prà, though, had a passion for winemaking and began studying enology.  In 1983, he and his brother started Prà in a rented old winery that had fallen into disuse. In 1990, they started building their winery, choosing a high elevation plot to allow for gradual ripening and acid development in the wine. In the 40 years of his winemaking career, Prà has become a celebrated winemaker, producing 26 wines that scored 90 points or higher in Wine Spectator blind tastings  Ripasso is a traditional method of making Valpolicella wines, which involves a second maceration of Valpolicella Superiore wine on the skins of grapes used for Amarone, which must be dried for at least 100 days. This second maceration usually lasts about twenty days and the resulting wine takes more color and flavor from the skins. This wine is then aged for 14 months before release.

Lighter in color and texture than both the Tenuta Santa Maria and San Cassiano Valpolicella Ripassos. Spiced cherry fruit with a floral and aromatic finish.
